Hello, I wanted to touch on the subject of operations management because I have worked for corporations that have experienced downturns in their financial picture because of their lack of planning in business and economic resources. A business plan that stimulates everyone else’s economic situtation as well as yours can be the best plan for all. Look to subcontracting out for services which may not be your cup of expertise but you know are essential to you products’ performance and delivery. Whether it be product delivery services or business planning get a business network involved and create a master mind effect where many people benefit from you being involved in the business and operations community that you wish to be involved in.
Prosperity & Abundance to all,

In the current state that we are in here up in Canada, we have an election going on and politicians left and right trying to jump on the green train so to speak. This is a dangerous ploy as it will add to the illusion of the green fad. My concern is that I do not want their weak efforts for votes to be construed by the general public as the new interest in the green revolution to be perceived as a marketing ploy.
We need to realize that if we wish to create sustainable living, we need to do it ourselves! If legislative bodies jump on the band wagon and try to drum up support in view of extra votes for their election campaign… so be it. Lest we forget though; the hard work needs to be done by us entrpreneurs, who seek sustainable living to be created within our comminities and to continue for many generations to come. No longer are we to take a “someone else will fix the problem attitude”; for now is the time to create communities that support and nurture each other to thrive, prosper, and create abundant resourceful futures for our children and our children’s children. The problem with having taken the back seat approach and letting governmental bodies look out for us is…. they don’t look out for us!
Look to your communities and get involved in local business meetings and network with everyone and anyone in your community. With this approach we can make our lives richer and grow our selves into prosperity. We need not worry about riches and such things because the universe will provide if we simply will do the legwork that it inspires us with. There is no one on this planet that can expleain why they love to do what they do with passion! Does it really matter if you can explain it or not? If it is your passion and you love doing it… what does it matter? Just enjoy and get a thrill out of it… trust me the universe will reward you with riches that you could have never imagined.
Until next time create abundance and sustainability for all, and you will reap the same rewards in return.

Hello all, I thought I would take the time this week to speak about something that has been on my mind for the last little while. The media’s ludicrous take on the state of our markets right now. I know that the markets are down after being highly and ridiculously over inflated for the last little while. The readjustment to the markets we are witnessing is as simple as a law of nature almost. The market over time readjusts to its natural state. Ask any financial planner on this earth they will tell you the same.
Now my beef with the media, is they spread doom and gloom and compare everything to the great depression of ‘29. For those of us with a true understading of the universe and the mind’s potential we see opportunity and a chance to share our gifts to the world. In such times where the media exaggerates the gloom and scarcity that we are in supposedely; we entrpreneurs see nothing but a chance thrive, create greater abundance for all and create a greater network of working knowledge and wealth for all.
This is not a point of view of taking advantage of other’s misfortunes, rather a chance to make an even greater contribution to society, our planet and elevate people’s conciousness to understand that your passion and goals are here to enrich the lives of the many (everyone) and not the few (ourselves). I hope these words will be read and not fall on deaf ears, because perhaps then the media may finally be anouncing something great and optimistic and not have such a pessimistic and cynical view of the world.
Cheers and abundance for all.

Recent events have made me ponder as to why certain people are great leaders and others not so much. My career allows me the greatest opportunity of all, of going into other businesses and assessing what it is they are doing that is benficial and non-benficial to their company. I am an accountant/business consultant/independent contractor. This is the greatest job ever! Not only do I get to analyze other people’s businesses; in the process I learn more and more everyday what is good common sense business practices and what is not. We will look strictly at the soft skills for today.
The focus of this blog is management styles. The most common types seen is micro management and macro mangement. Neither is preferrable, it is preferrable to be a manager that is involved in every day to day business that provides a source of leadership but is not above doing the most menial tasks. An attitude of helping the many not the few is necessary; as well as lead by example. In this matter the question is: if you are not willing to put the effort in doing whatever the task requires and be involved, then why should your employees want to put in the effort?
1) This matter requires much attention if you are running a business and not achieveing the goals you are wishing to achieve. If as a manger you take the attitude of menial tasks are beneath you my experince over the last 7 years of my career has shown me this results in micro management based. So much so that managers tend to threaten and bully their staff to do tasks that managers consider to be beneath the overqualified degrees or egos. What you need to do as a respected and valuable leader is lead by example; and support and provide confidence in your team. Also very important… if there is grunt work to be done and you are a manager get involved! No one likes doing grunt work but do not delegate out of sheer attitude of “oh, this is beaneath me” and request the work to be done by staff while you sit in an office somewhere not doing much.
2) Do not micro manage! Micro managing and not believing in your team is demoralizing and condascending to say the least! It is like being in your teens and having parents always looking over you shoulder not trusting you. This is very detrimental as it makes employees not want to excel at and feel passionate about their job. If they were hired based on attitude and qualifications then allow them to prove their qualifications at what they were hired do.
3) Be a calm and level headed manger that instills an attitude of leader of the pack and show love and respect for your co-workers; you will notice that they are more than willing to ablige to complete the daily tasks at hand. Be a compassionate human and an inspiring leader at the same time.
I hope this discussion sheds some important points to light. Until next time happy networking, abundance and prosperity.
Regards,
Saverio
